What a fantastic start to 2026 it has been at Dancecatz Romsey! We are already halfway through the year and have so much to celebrate. Our dancers have been working incredibly hard, making new friends, building confidence and, most importantly, having lots of fun along the way.
Exam Preparation in Full Swing
One of our biggest focuses this year has been preparing students for their Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations. From Pre-Primary all the way through to Grade 2, our dancers have shown tremendous dedication in class. We have been refining technique, improving musicality, perfecting performance quality and, of course, practising those all-important smiles!
We are so proud of the progress every child has made. Whether they are taking a Class Award or an Examination, each dancer has worked hard to develop their skills and grow in confidence.
Launching Our Competition Team
This year has also seen the exciting introduction of the Dancecatz Competition Team. Selected dancers have begun preparing solos, duets and group pieces ready to represent Dancecatz at local festivals.
Whilst competitions are a wonderful opportunity to perform and develop stage presence, our focus remains on teamwork, encouragement and enjoying the experience together. We can't wait to see our dancers shine on stage while supporting one another every step of the way.
Our New SEND Dance Class
One of the highlights of 2026 has been the launch of our SEND Dance Class at Whiteparish Memorial Centre.
Providing an inclusive and welcoming environment where every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of dance has always been important to us. We have been delighted by the positive response from families and are excited to continue growing this special class.
At Dancecatz, we believe that dance should be accessible to everyone, and we are incredibly proud to be able to offer this opportunity within our local community.
Tiny Dancers, Big Smiles
Our youngest dancers continue to amaze us every week! Tiny Ballet has been full of imagination, adventure and creativity. From magical unicorn forests to bunny meadows and seaside adventures, our little dancers have been developing balance, coordination and confidence whilst having lots of fun.
There is nothing quite like seeing a room full of happy toddlers discovering the joy of movement for the first time.
Looking Ahead
There is still so much to look forward to in 2026, including examinations, competitions, summer activities and plenty more dancing.
Thank you to all of our wonderful Dancecatz families for your continued support. We are so grateful to be part of your children's dance journey and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
Here's to a fantastic second half of 2026! 💜
